BitMetrics and Valerdat startups selected by INDPULS to participate in the 2024 Boston Seminary organized by Lead to Change.

On September 19th, we celebrated the closure of the ‘ACCELERATE YOUR GO TO MARKET’ Startup Support Program with a plenary session alongside the 10 startups that have been part of the program and representatives from the 15 industrial companies associated with INDPULS.

‘ACCELERATE YOUR GO TO MARKET’ is an initiative by INDPULS that offers a personalized growth-oriented program. It combines training sessions, networking opportunities, meetings with executives from industrial companies, and mentoring sessions in management. The goal is to allow participating startups to validate their business model and value proposition while identifying collaboration opportunities with companies in order to accelerate their growth.

“The 11 Key Factors for Growth” by Xavier Marcet.

At the beginning of the session, Xavier Marcet, President of Lead to Change, spoke to us about ‘The Key Factors for Growth’:

  1. The original value proposition of a company or an innovative project is the starting point and must be sufficiently distinctive to attract customers’ attention.
  2. Companies grow by having the right people. Entrepreneurship is a team sport. A progressively balanced team is needed, with different profiles, among which the salesperson should not be missing.
  3. Having the necessary resources to drive a project is important, but the obsession with funding should never surpass the obsession with creating value or serving customers.
  4. Do not confuse technology with innovation, with knowing how to solve a real problem or need.
  5. A value proposition’s success involves knowing how to offer it to customers one step ahead.
  6. Planting the seeds of culture, respect, and authenticity is essential.
  7. Think about operations logic as early as possible, whether digital or manufacturing operations.
  8. Embed communication is at the heart of the product or service.
  9. Transition from a purpose to a legacy.
  10. Nothing significant has happened in less than 5 years in the business world. The secret is not to tire of oneself, to persevere.
  11. Balance bet. Grow by helping others grow.

Experiences and success stories of collaboration between startups and industrial companies.

Next, we shared experiences and success cases of collaboration between startups and INDPULS partners. Jaume Simonet, R&D Director of Girbau Group, shared one of the company’s challenges related to clothing sorting in laundries and how BitMetrics could contribute to the final solution through its technology. Mar Masulli, co-founder of BitMetrics, explained her experience collaborating with corporates and shared her project management methodology to ensure the success of the collaboration.

BitMetrics and Valerdat will participate in the Boston Seminary 2024.

Finally, Mercè Girbau, President of INDPULS, announced that BitMetrics and Valerdat have been the two startups selected to participate in the Boston Seminary 2024 on Strategy, Growth, and Innovation organized by Lead to Change. The criteria used by the evaluation committee to make this decision were the level of participation in the program and their ability to advance towards the development of collaboration projects with corporates.

“It is necessary to develop the industrial ecosystem, understand both worlds and bring them closer together.” – Mercè Girbau, President of INDPULS.

BitMetrics is a startup specializing in intelligent process automation based on vision, particularly in manipulating and placing (including the classification and random selection of known and unknown objects) and visual inspection.
