Accelerating Industrial Innovation at 4YFN 2025

For two days, part of the INDPULS team attended 4YFN 2025, the world’s largest and most influential connectivity event, held within MWC Barcelona. We took advantage of this innovation platform to establish strategic connections, explore new collaboration opportunities, and stay closely linked to the startup ecosystem.
4YFN is not just a meeting point for startups and investors but also a showcase of emerging trends.
The intensity of the event is palpable: in just two days, you have the opportunity to discover dozens of innovative solutions, listen to international thought leaders, and connect with entrepreneurs seeking to redefine the market. This vibrant atmosphere, combining enthusiasm and the urgency to stay at the forefront, is both the attraction and the challenge of such gatherings. In a context where most startups integrate AI into their solutions, it is truly fascinating to see its potential when applied effectively to industrial solutions.

The future of the industry is driven by technological innovation. On the first day, we connected with leading startups in fields such as organic waste revalorization, advanced digitalization of industrial equipment, the development of new applications in quantum computing, and disruptive technologies for decarbonization. These initiatives are redefining industry standards, accelerating the transition toward a more efficient, sustainable, and intelligent industrial landscape.
The evolution of artificial intelligence and its application in the industry were key topics in several conferences. In the session AI XL Series II: The Prompt Economy or How Gen AI Rewrites Business Models – Prompting Business Models to Life, featuring Miguel Arias, Partner at Kfund, Pilar Manchón, Senior Director of Engineering, AI Research Strategy at Google, and Shahid Azim, Co-founder and CEO of C10 Labs, discussions revolved around how generative AI is transforming business models, unlocking new opportunities while also raising challenges in data governance and business ethics.
Similarly, we attended the conference Driving AI Forward Through Innovation with Wayra and Perplexity, with Ryan Foutty, VP of Business at Perplexity, and Irene Gómez, CEO of Wayra (Telefónica), where the need for reliable and transparent AI to drive innovation was highlighted. In the field of decarbonization, the talk The ROI of Decarbonisation: Aligning Sustainability with Profitability, featuring Lubomila Jordanova, CEO & Founder of Plan A, emphasized how data and science can simultaneously drive the green transition and economic profitability, making sustainability a key engine for growth.

The second day at 4YFN focused on connectivity, process optimization, and industrial circularity. We attended the CONNECTIO Dialogues: How ERIA, Fluidra, and Grup Saltó Drive Corporate Venturing and Open Innovation, a conference discussing open innovation and collaboration between corporations and startups.

The session featured Pere Camprovin, Head of Open Innovation at Fluidra (one of INDPULS’ founding companies), Josep Solé i Ferrando, Corporate Venturing Director at ERIA, and Jordi Cabau, CTO and Innovation Director at Grup Saltó.
At INDPULS, we continue to support the industrial ecosystem of the future, connecting companies and startups to drive high-impact projects. Innovation is not an option but a necessity to stay at the forefront of the global industry.
