Held on May 30th, 2025, the event highlighted the potential of <strong>open innovation <\/strong>as a strategic tool to connect <strong>startups<\/strong>, SMEs, and large corporations within a collaborative ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"omt-qoute wp-block-omt-qoute\"\t>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"omt-qoute__wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"omt-qoute__deatils-block\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAn ideal opportunity for the Catalan industrial sector to rethink business models and integrate cutting-edge technology into production processes.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-font-size-xl-font-size\"><strong>A Day to Rethink the Technological Future<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With an agenda focused on <strong>digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging trends<\/strong>, the event kicked off with top-tier keynote presentations. <strong>Cecilia Tham<\/strong>, founder of <strong>Futurity Studio<\/strong>, delivered an inspiring talk titled\u00a0<em>&#8220;From Open Innovation to Collective Intelligence.&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0Her futuristic vision transported us beyond today\u2019s imagination: highly specialized AI in fields like architecture, law, or gastronomy, digital clones, and even <strong>interspecies communication<\/strong>. A standout example is the collaboration between <strong>Bitmetrics<\/strong> and Familia <strong>Torres<\/strong>, which originated from a quality control challenge on the bottling line. The startup developed a solution using computer vision to detect glass particles inside bottles, and the project is now in its pilot phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another case presented was the collaboration between <strong>ERIA<\/strong> (the Innovation Hub of the company Estabanell) and <strong>Zenit<\/strong>, a startup offering a decentralized energy consumption management solution. Their aim is to interconnect energy generation and consumption in a more direct and sustainable way. Although still in the early stages, this project reflects the type of collaboration the platform seeks to foster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-font-size-xl-font-size\"><strong>Startups with Impact: Technology Applied to Social and Industrial Challenges<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the event, several startups were showcased to demonstrate how technology drives transformation in both social and industrial sectors. Highlights include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Vaive Logistics<\/strong>: last-mile logistics solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Footprint Mappa<\/strong>: sustainability applied to the industrial sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Improfit<\/strong>: use of computer vision to improve physical health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Aima<\/strong>: virtual assistants for the elderly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Blindstairs \u2013 Merified<\/strong>: AI for recruitment processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lawwwing<\/strong>: application of law in the digital environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These initiatives not only respond to immediate challenges but do so with an innovation mindset geared towards sustainability, inclusion, and operational efficiency. Projects like\u00a0<em>Footprint Mappa<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Blindstairs<\/em>\u00a0clearly show how the combination of data, automation, and human-centered design leads to disruptive solutions capable of transforming industrial and organizational processes, while delivering strategic value and sustainable impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-font-size-xl-font-size\"><strong>Dynamic Activities to Strengthen the Innovation Ecosystem<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Connectio Day also offered highly engaging spaces for interaction, such as the\u00a0<strong>CONNECTIO Meetings<\/strong>, which were bilateral meetings designed to initiate strategic collaborations, or the\u00a0<strong>pitch sessions<\/strong>\u00a0in virtual reality, allowing participants to refine project presentations in an immersive environment. In addition, the\u00a0<strong>Scouting Corner<\/strong>\u00a0gave companies the chance to find tailor-made solutions or strategic partners, while the sessions\u00a0\u201cRespond to a Challenge and Discover CONNECTIO\u201d\u00a0guided startups on how to access real challenges and opportunities through the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-font-size-xl-font-size\"><strong>A Commitment to Open Innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At <strong>INDPULS<\/strong>, we value this event very positively, both for the quality of its content and for the opportunities it offered to connect with other key players in the ecosystem. Events like\u00a0Connectio Day\u00a0<strong>reinforce our commitment to fostering collaboration between industrial companies and tech startups,<\/strong> while exploring new pathways to apply open innovation to production processes and develop more sustainable and efficient business models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"omt-qoute wp-block-omt-qoute\"\t>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"omt-qoute__wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"omt-qoute__deatils-block\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tInnovation is not just a tool for competitiveness\u2014it\u2019s a lever for transforming the industrial fabric with a forward-looking approach.
