Over two days, experts and representatives from the INDPULS ecosystem shared insights and methodologies to describe the current state of innovation and move toward a horizon of more agile, open, and impact-conscious companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Alay\u00f3n<\/strong>, CEO of\u00a0<strong>Innuba<\/strong>\u00a0and an expert in innovation and disruptive technologies, opened the debate by positioning disruption as a permanent condition and projection capability as a fundamental tool. He emphasized that innovation requires imagining multiple plausible scenarios and recognizing that our perception of the world is distorted by biases and beliefs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: rgb(0, 0, 0); white-space: normal;\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"omt-qoute wp-block-omt-qoute\"\t>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"omt-qoute__wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"omt-qoute__deatils-block\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAccording to Alay\u00f3n, artificial intelligence should act as an amplifier of human capabilities, but never as a substitute for critical thinking.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The block dedicated to\u00a0<strong>innovation models and methodologies<\/strong>\u00a0brought together several presentations offering tangible examples of how to structure and guide innovation. During her talk,\u00a0<strong>Agata Gelabert\u00f3<\/strong>, Head of Innovation and Business Development at\u00a0<strong>Idilia<\/strong>, shared the success of the\u00a0<em>Strategic Innovation Cycle Wheel<\/em>, implemented daily in the innovation department, and highlighted the importance of the\u00a0<strong>IVI<\/strong>, the indicator measuring the percentage of sales attributable to innovation. She argued that it should be analyzed over both three- and ten-year horizons to gain a full view, and warned that only 23% of product references survive more than five years. Her conclusion was clear: innovation depends not only on processes but also on the leadership and culture that sustain them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the same line,\u00a0<strong>Pere Camprovin<\/strong>, Director of Open Innovation at\u00a0<strong>Fluidra<\/strong>, presented the\u00a0<strong>Fluidra Lab<\/strong>\u00a0model, aimed at increasing the organization\u2019s innovative capacity through\u00a0<strong>open innovation<\/strong>\u00a0with a dual\u00a0<em>outside-in<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>inside-out<\/em>approach. He emphasized the company\u2019s ambition to be a\u00a0<strong>strategic partner<\/strong>\u00a0for business units, capable of identifying valuable opportunities. The approach is based on\u00a0<strong>pretotyping<\/strong>, which allows quick validation with clients under the principle \u201cif you buy it, we\u2019ll make it.\u201d Within this framework, he highlighted the creation of\u00a0<strong>Fluidra Ventures<\/strong>, a \u20ac20 million fund specializing in pools and wellness, designed to invest in tech startups aligned with the group\u2019s strategic needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally,\u00a0<strong>Clara Guasch<\/strong>, Director of\u00a0<strong>Girbau LAB<\/strong>\u00a0and member of the\u00a0<strong>Girbau Innovation Council<\/strong>, stressed the importance of mitigating the negative externalities of business activities and using the\u00a0<strong>planetary boundaries framework as a compass<\/strong>\u00a0to set priorities. The discussion underscored how\u00a0<strong>family businesses<\/strong>\u00a0have a natural predisposition toward innovation, derived from their long-term orientation and their will to\u00a0<strong>preserve and project a legacy<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 factors that provide a competitive advantage in an environment characterized by accelerated cycles and high technological complexity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The keynote by\u00a0<strong>Henry Chesbrough<\/strong>, Professor at the\u00a0<strong>Haas School of Business<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>University of California, Berkeley<\/strong>, and a global reference in\u00a0<strong>open innovation<\/strong>, offered an analysis of the role of\u00a0<strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong>\u00a0in knowledge management. According to Chesbrough, AI is highly efficient in processing\u00a0<strong>codified knowledge<\/strong>, but has greater difficulty handling\u00a0<strong>tacit knowledge<\/strong>, linked to experience and professional judgment \u2014 both of which remain crucial in any innovation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"omt-qoute wp-block-omt-qoute\"\t>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"omt-qoute__wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"omt-qoute__deatils-block\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAccording to Chesbrough, AI can accelerate the generation and evaluation of ideas and technologies and help identify patents with potential, but its implementation requires controlled experimental phases before addressing scalability.\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Albert Esplugas<\/strong>, Head of Generative AI Analyst Relations at\u00a0<strong>Amazon Web Services<\/strong>, emphasized that the implementation of artificial intelligence within an organization requires professionals to see it as a tool that\u00a0<strong>enhances their skills<\/strong>. He stressed the importance of clearly defining\u00a0<strong>roles<\/strong>: those that must remain in human hands, those that can be assumed by\u00a0<strong>AI agents<\/strong>, and those that will lead to\u00a0<strong>augmented humans<\/strong>, where the combination of human judgment and technology generates unique value. This approach, according to Esplugas, forms the foundation for integrating AI into processes and corporate culture in a solid and scalable way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Felip Vidiella<\/strong>, Director of Innovation and Research at\u00a0<strong>Dow Chemical<\/strong>\u00a0until 2022, presented his formula for innovation, defined as the combination of\u00a0<strong>creativity, experience, and financial knowledge<\/strong>. He highlighted that team composition is a critical factor and that junior profiles must be balanced with experienced professionals to ensure learning and continuity. According to Vidiella, the\u00a0<strong>product lifecycle<\/strong>\u00a0requires differentiated professional roles:\u00a0<strong>\u201cstarters\u201d<\/strong>, focused on idea generation;\u00a0<strong>\u201cdevelopers\u201d<\/strong>, focused on development;\u00a0<strong>\u201coptimizers\u201d<\/strong>, driving growth; and\u00a0<strong>\u201cservicers\u201d<\/strong>, ensuring product maturity and maintenance. He highlighted that artificial intelligence is useful for facilitating connections and simulations, but the\u00a0<strong>ability to think and maintain closeness with clients<\/strong>\u00a0cannot be delegated. According to Marcet, innovation will remain a radically human activity, and in increasingly homogeneous markets, differentiation will become a decisive factor. Finally, he emphasized the need to move beyond technological followerism and to promote a\u00a0<strong>European management model<\/strong>, capable of integrating cultural traits while ensuring\u00a0<strong>competitive and sustainable results<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"omt-qoute wp-block-omt-qoute\"\t>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"omt-qoute__wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"omt-qoute__deatils-block\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u201cThe idea behind the Pened\u00e8s Summit was none other than to provide knowledge and inspiration to partners and collaborators around innovation and shared challenges such as the adoption of artificial intelligence.
