‘La Casa de la Luz’, showroom and innovation space by SIMON in Madrid
During the recent innovation event organized by INDPULS in Madrid, attendees had the opportunity to visit La Casa de la Luz, an experiential showroom and innovation space dedicated to the culture of light, designed for learning, sharing, and enjoying light in a collaborative environment open to both professionals and individuals. This space, driven by SIMON, a leading company in the lighting sector with over 100 years of history, has three additional locations in Barcelona, La Coruña, and Oporto.
Located on the ground floor of the iconic architectural complex known as the Oasis, designed by the innovative architect Fernando Higueras, La Casa de la Luz stands out for both its technological innovation and its conceptual and emotional approach. Visitors—mainly architects, designers, and interested clients—can interact with and experience different forms of lighting to understand how light affects the environment, mood, and perception. The idea behind this space is that light is not only a functional element but also a tool for creating sensory and emotional experiences in various types of settings.
Connected Lighting and Innovation
SIMON is renowned for its continuous drive toward innovation in the field of lighting. In 2016, coinciding with its centenary, the company launched the Simon 100 and Simon 270 series, which revolutionized home automation by introducing connected lighting. These series allow users to control lighting in an intuitive way, without the need for complex wiring systems, offering a simplified automation experience.
We also learned about one of SIMON‘s most valuable assets: its international product archive, which documents the most relevant series launched in different markets and regions. This archive is crucial for the company as it allows them to adapt to local needs and customs, offering customized lighting solutions for each geographical area.
New Series and Architectural Lighting Solutions
In its commitment to continue innovating, SIMON has launched new architectural lighting solutions aimed at redefining how we understand light. For the company, light is not just an aesthetic element, but also a fundamental tool for improving the quality of life of individuals. The new series from SIMON not only illuminate spaces but also create comfortable environments tailored to the various ways of inhabiting and experiencing the surroundings.
Definitely, La Casa de la Luz is a living testament to SIMON‘s innovative and cutting-edge approach, a space where technology, architecture, and emotion converge to shape a new culture of light.
