Carinsa Group presents its Entrepreneurship Awards during the celebration of its 30th anniversary.

On October 27th, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of Carinsa Group, a company that is part of INDPULS, accompanied by more than 300 people at the Pedralbes Palace in Barcelona.

The company, led by sisters Vanesa and Denia Martínez, commemorated the 30th anniversary of its founding by their father, Alberto Martinez, by presenting the foundations of the Entrepreneurship Awards from the Alberto Martínez Ortega Institute. These awards aim to recognize startups, projects, initiatives, and/or individuals who stand out for contributing to the development and innovation of Carinsa, its products, and its clients. They highlight one of the purposes of the Alberto Martínez Institute: to promote entrepreneurship.

“The main purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to a great man and visionary, Mr. Alberto Martínez, and to embody his entrepreneurial spirit. Carinsa Group, as an industrial company, can assist in all aspects for businesses taking their first steps,” – highlighted Vanesa Martínez, CEO of Carinsa.

Categories

The Awards of the Alberto Martínez Institute are set in the following categories:

  1. Nutrition and Health: Projects focusing on consumer well-being, including improvements in nutritional profiles, raw materials with new functionalities, and innovations in developing fresh health nutrients through cosmetics and nutrition.
  2. Sustainability, Circular Economy, and Impact: Projects operating in the fields of food and cosmetics, with a focus on societal and consumer impact, sustainability, and resource utilization. This includes new extraction models, biofermentations, reuse initiatives, biodegradable packaging, processes directly impacting the circular economy, elimination of microplastics, water treatment, etc.
  3. Emotions, the New Disruption: Projects with disruptive and technological initiatives centered around emotions, sensations, and the world of the senses.

Evaluation Criteria

Firstly, a technical evaluation of the projects will be conducted. Secondly, the criteria taken into account in the nominations for the Entrepreneurship Awards of the Alberto Martínez Ortega Institute will be as follows:

  1. Innovation. The ability to innovate and provide solutions in the value chain of Carinsa and its sector will be valued. Additionally, priority will be given to creativity in ingredients, processes, and products.
  2. Differentiation. Recognition will be given to candidates with distinctive elements that are particularly notable for their uniqueness, notoriety, and focus on seeking solutions.
  3. Candidates will be evaluated based on the positive transformative effect on Carinsa, its clients, and end consumers. This includes resolving relevant problems, the potential for internationalization, and the potential for future development.
  4. Talent: The candidacy will be valued if it is endorsed by passionate and energetic talent willing to embrace new proposals and ideas, individuals who enjoy creating and learning, always keeping in mind the purpose of their work and mission at Carinsa.
  5. ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance): Candidates will be assessed based on their commitment to the planet, its inhabitants, and society. Their proposals include considerations for biodiversity, pollution, waste, water, and air.
